Serving Platter, Hira Fine China, Bamboo Tah-Kay, Vintage Japan 16"

• Made in Japan by Hira Fine China 
• Vintage:  1950's - 1960's
• Details:  This a very fresh pattern, perfect for Spring and Summer.  It's white china with bright green bamboo shoots with their green leaves alongside some older, brown bamboo stalks.  The platter has formed handles, which are very pretty, decorated with gold swirls that adds to the beauty of this platter. The platter has a gold rim.  There is a back stamp that reads "HIRA Fine China, Japan, Tah-Kay".  This serving piece would look especially nice on a Spring or Summer table setting, perhaps with other earthy items like bamboo flatware and weaved natural fibers or wood-like place mats.  Would also enhance a chinoiserie or Zen style table setting.  
• Materials:  Fine China
• Dimensions:  16 inches Long and 11.5 inches Wide (at its widest point).
• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Vintage Condition.  There are no cracks, chips, or visible scratches on this piece except for normal wear.  The gold rim is showing a little wear, we feel this is acceptable due to age/use.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. There is not much written about HIRA FINE CHINA.  It was made between 1940's to at least 1955.  Not this piece but other patterns are marked Made in Occupied Japan, which means they were in business after World War II, at least from 1945 until the Treaty of San Francisco took effect in 1952.  Perhaps they went out of business shortly after WWII.
